Vandals and Byzantines
In 436 Tunisia was invaded by the Spanish Vandals, who lived up to their reputation by building no great monuments, creating no new wealth and doing little to make any mark at all upon the country.
In 533, the Byzantines from Constantinople took over and began not only to rule but to zealously modify many Roman sites, in particular churches and forts. After 150 years, the Arabs came and introduced Islam.
